the xx beijing olympic games are coming. my classmates and i are very excited. we have been talking about it every day and hope the chinese athletes will win a lot of gold medals. it would be a dream come true to be able to go to beijing for the olympics.

liu xiang is my favorite athlete. he is from my hometown shanghai. i am so proud of him. let me tell you a little secret. last month i wrote to liu xiang. i hope he received my letter, and knows that i am wishing him all my luck to be the first crossing the finish line.

首先简单说一下刚刚过去的期中教学检测的情况。这次考试总体还是不错的，但是不能说明一切，但却可以反映一些您的孩子在学校里的学习情况。因为孩子们都是在三年级开始学英语的，经过近两年的学习，他们之间已经拉开了不小的差距。一些学生学习兴趣浓，学习劲头足，在课堂上能够积极思维，踊跃发言，课后也能够及时复习和巩固，形成了良性循环的好势头。先看试卷，也有一些学生，平时学习态度不认真，书面作业拖延不交，口头作业根本不完成，基础不扎实，结果功亏一篑，学习自然也成了件头痛事，麻烦事。我认为，孩子学习上的差别关键与孩子的学习习惯和方法有关。有的孩子的习惯非常好，能够自觉主动的按时完成老师的要求，有的孩子没有养成好习惯，不知道为什么要学习和怎样高效地学习，学习也就没有了积极性和主动性了。那么怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢?下面我将作业的情况和需要家长们配合的地方做一下说明。

1、听读的作业：请务必督促学生在家听英语并跟读，直到熟练，最好能背诵，这样做可以培养语感，对孩子的学习有很大帮助。

2.星号单词的默写：每一单元的五角星词是要求会听说读写的，家长可以让学生自己默写或者说中文意思学生写英文都可以，但最重要的.是在学生默写完后，督促他们对着书本及时更正。

3.抄写的作业：布置抄写单词，其目的不在于抄多少遍，而在于让学生记住这些单词。但是在实际操作中，我发现学生不重视这项作业，认为只是抄抄而已，书写潦草，只求速度，更别说是去背了，结果所学知识得不到巩固，几次下来，他就会掉队了，而且更没有了学习的积极性，久而久之，形成恶性循环。因此，恳请各位家长在家里要督促孩子保质保量地完成英语作业。而且只要有背诵的作业都需要签名，以便老师及时掌握学习情况，最好写清楚掌握到什么情况，比如已读熟，或已背诵，或哪个词不会读等等。实际上，我们班签字的情况不是很理想，每次都会有部分同学找各种理由推脱。所以建议家长及时检查过问孩子的作业情况，督促孩子按时完成作业，签好字。

另外，我认为多和老师沟通和交流也很重要，这样可以及时发现问题并及时纠正错误。最好不要等着老师去跟你联系，因为有的孩子多次不写作业或不带课本怕被批评，就不告诉老师家长的号码，或者说一个空号和停机的号，给家校沟通带来不便。

总之，只要孩子每天进步一小步，就会向成功迈进一大步，不妨把您的时间多一点留给孩子,把您的关心多一点送给孩子 ,把您的信心多一点让给孩子，孩子会带给你很大的惊喜。最后，送给大家一句话以共勉，孩子的时候要常用拇指---多鼓励，慎用食指---少批评。祝愿各位家长身体健康，工作顺利，谢谢。

首先非常感谢大家能从百忙中抽空来参加今天的家长会。我是本班的英语老师，我非常盼望着与各位交流，共同探讨孩子成才的问题。大家都知道，我们的学生在小学毕业考时是要参加英语考试的，并且英语成绩也是各重点中学录取学生的一个重要参考。另外，由于中学里已经开始使用与小学英语课本相配套的教材，小学英语基础的好坏也就直接对中学里的继续学习产生很大的影响，因此，我们的学生从现在起就必须认真学习，打好基础。

下面我简单地介绍一下本次英语考试的情况：

本次考试，我们班应该说，大部分学生都考得不错，但仍有少部分学生需要努力。

这里我要向各位家长简单介绍一下如何更好地进行英语学习。英语课堂上，大部分学生都能很活跃的回答老师提出的问题，积极跟着老师拼读单词，朗读课文。但是，要学好英语，课上占40%，其余的60%还需要学生在课后不断地巩固，加深记忆。课堂上老师更多的是教授新知识，当然，也会有少量的时间进行巩固。但是这些时间是公共的时间，所以不可能照顾到每个学生，不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识的接受能力都是不同的，有的可能当堂就已经有很深的.印象，很难忘记，但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识，要真正掌握还要在课后多下功夫，不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。

目前，一个星期接触英语的时间，只有三节课，期间让孩子说的时间又有多少？接触语言的时间又有多少？

学校里每个孩子的学习时间都差不多,但校外的时间长短则不同。希望各位家长能针对自己孩子的实际情况进行监督，教导您的孩子要有吃苦耐劳的精神。我确信：学好英语和智商无关，学好英语的人都是勤劳刻苦的人。因此，孩子们需要再努力，我想孩子的努力也需要您的支持和合作。

那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢？英语毕竟不是我们母语，学生在生活中很少能接触到英语，所以，在课后一定要主动抽时间进行学习。学好英语，不外乎就是在听，说，读，写这些方面下功夫。

首先说一下听，光靠上课听一点点的磁带，学生的听力根本就不能有什么发展。所以，我每节课后都会让学生回家跟磁带读课文，同时尽力去模仿磁带里的发音，从而使自己的听力和口语都提高一个层次。

接下来是说，英语是一门语言，学了就是要说，要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语，要让每个学生学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来激励学生，激发他们说英语的积极性，大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多，对每个人来说，说的机会就少。所以，我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去，这样就有更真实的情景，更能让学生发挥的余地。

接下来是读。俗话说：“读书破万卷，下笔如有神。”学英语也是这样，很多家长也明白，学英语要培养语感，如果有很好的语感，那么不管是说话，做题目，还是写文章，都很轻松，很简单了。那么语感怎么来呢？就是靠读出来的。一定要让学生养成每天读英语的习惯，这是学好英语的最基本的前提。每天一定要读15分钟左右的英语，绝不因任何原因间断，贵在坚持。如果你的子女还没有养成这样的学习习惯，请你一定要督促他，刚开始也许会比较难，时间久了，就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样，要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。

最后是写。四年级开始已经对学生有一定的书写要求，单词、句子，段落，课文的最基本组成单位，我们现在抓的关键就是单词，要求个个过关，读写要非常流利，这样才能很好地进行单词句子和课文的书写。而背单词更是个难关。学好英语最难也是最重要的就是背诵和默写，这个习惯很难在短时间内培养好，请一定要有耐心，任何时候都要相信您的孩子是最棒的。但是单词往往很容易遗忘，所以要不断地背，不断地翻新。还有句型，四年级所接触的句型都是很简单的日常用语，但是也有了一些语法。学生应该在课上领会句型的意思和运用方法。课后还需要通过多读课文，多练习才能巩固所学的句型。所以请各位家长不光要注重孩子背单词的情况，还要重视句型的掌握。

最后我简单地和各位家长讲一下我们这套书的构成和内容，以及我们班的作业情况。（4a每个单元的构成和重点）（作业：回家作业、默写本、练习与测试、补充习题卷），每天都有作业，可能是口头的，请配合检查。
